At its meeting on September 25, 2020, the Federal Council adopted the adapted version of the Wind Energy Concept. The entry into force of the new Energy Act in 2018 has changed, and in some cases expanded, the scope for cantonal planning of wind power facilities. The Confederation is now adapting its Wind Energy Concept accordingly, which serves as a decision-making and planning aid for planners and project developers.
