Me Anne Dorthe was invited by the Conseil de l’Ordre des avocats vaudois to lead the Conférence du stage on September 2, 2024, which brought together all trainee lawyers of the Vaud Bar.
On this occasion, Anne Dorthe outlined the general context of data protection and the issues at stake. She explained to the trainee lawyers the various legal concepts and principles applicable in this field.
She then went on to discuss possible actions in civil, administrative and criminal matters following the entry into force of the new Federal Data Protection Act (DPA) on September 1, 2023.
Me Dorthe concluded her presentation with a review of recent case law in this area from cantonal courts, the Federal Court and the CJEU.
